Kick Off Bad Habits for a Healthier You

Everyone has habits, some of them are good, some of them are bad. We’re going to focus obviously on the bad ones, because those can actually affect our life and health. We’re also going to present some of the most current habits and also how to counterfeit them for the benefit of our health.

The list is so long that I do not even know where to start, but let’s take as number one bad habit on our black list: smoking.

To put it bluntly, smoking means diseases. For example, lung cancer, pulmonary diseases, heart diseases, organ damages emphysema and other diseases.

If you are smoking from an early age, be prepared to see yourself prematurely aging real quick, because smoking damages the tissues of the skin. It also causes depression, anxiety, and it can also lead to mental problems.

A study made by the Cancer Research center in UK states that:

A cigarette may look harmless enough – tobacco leaves covered in classic white paper. But when it burns, it releases a dangerous cocktail of about 4,000 chemicals including:

  • more than 70 cancer-causing chemicals
  • hundreds of other poisons.
  • nicotine, a highly addictive drug, and many additives designed to make cigarettes taste nicer and keep smokers hooke

So, if you want to keep yourself healthy, you should definitely cut down the amount of cigarettes you smoker per day.

Another bad habit is drinking, as excessive drinking can lead to serious heart problems, really high blood pressure, which can cause brain damages and even strokes. It can also damage your pancreatic and liver functions and thus cause long-term health issues.

Another bad habit that only women can have is sleeping with their make-up on. It is the one sure recipe to premature aging, wrinkles and acne. So, remove carefully your make-up each time before you go to bed, in order to have a clear and clean face.

Eating irregularly is also another bad habit that unfortunately, is more and more present in our society these days. Not having a meal schedule and eating fast food can cause diabetes, weight gaining and digestion problems. Try keeping yourself healthy by choosing vegetables and fruits daily, and also exercising each day.

Lack of sleep is also a bad habit, and due to work conditions, and stress, this has become a real issue. However important your work is, don’t overdo it! Nothing is worth the risk of losing your health and then not being able to concentrate anymore or have health issues that will put you to bed.
